" Traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary design"
My
Story
Get to Know Me
My Name is Jeffrey Mann and I am a fine furniture maker from Victoria British Columbia
In the spring of 2019, I embarked on a life-changing adventure, leaving my native Coquitlam, BC, and setting foot in Italy. Little did I know that this leap would pave the way for a profound transformation and the birth of The Stables Woodshop.
Under the constraints of a global lockdown in 2020, I found inspiration within the confines of a centuries-old horse stable in Valtellina. Armed with a modest set of hand tools, I immersed myself in the art of woodworking, crafting small boxes and trinkets that ignited a new passion.
Fueled by the desire to perfect my craft I enrolled in the Fine Furniture Program at Camosun College in Victoria, BC. In this environment, my skills improved, and my creative vision began to take shape earning me the Pat Lintaman Award for Design.
With newfound confidence and a wealth of knowledge, I started The Stables Woodshop. The name itself pays homage to the humble beginnings that sparked my journey, as I found inspiration within the walls of a 200-year-old stable. I designed a curated selection of made-to-order furniture and accessories meticulously crafted by me. Each piece exudes timeless elegance, blending traditional techniques with contemporary design.
