Partner Terms and Conditions
Our partner program is at the heart of Furniture District's success and for this reason, we don't agree to work with just anyone.
All our partners go through an approval process before becoming full members. We also have high expectations of the quality we produce. This is why, like all franchise models, we have a very strict policy on how our partners represent our brand.
Furniture District provides a platform for shoppers to access Canadian-made designer furniture. To achieve this we have introduced a new way of shopping which includes, highly targeted marketing campaigns, social profiles, signature collections, and other member benefits.
To ensure the best possible experience for our customers and our partners, we insist on a high standard of conduct while using our services.
These are some of the basic expectations of using our platform. By continuing to use this platform you're agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Personal conduct
All users of the Furniture District platform are expected to treat each other with respect. Any use of foul language, aggressive tone, abusive language, or other misconduct will result in immediate removal from our platform.

Profiles
All profiles are to be professional and only contain relevant, tasteful, and on-topic posts. Any use of offensive language, images, or off-topic posts will result in a warning or removal from the site.

Pricing
Furniture District uses a network of partnerships to provide our customers with the best possible experience which includes the best possible prices. Our maker partners are independent business professionals and are fully responsible for setting the prices on their products however, they agree to never offer products for less if the client goes directly through them and not the platform. Our price guarantee means that shoppers can trust they are already getting the best prices.

Liability and warranty
Furniture District is not liable for any incident or dispute between a customer and a partner. All legal disputes regarding design services or billing are to be directed toward your design service provider.
Furniture District liability is limited to billing disputes on furniture products and is responsible for our standard 2-year manufacturer's warranty as laid out in section 6 of the partnership agreement. All other disputes are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping and Delivery
Each maker is responsible for arranging any shipping or delivery of their products. Furniture District will assist premium members with sourcing white glove services in their area but assumes no direct involvement in the shipping process.

Warranty and Returns
Our makers must agree to respond and address any warranty or return claim within 10 days. This includes repairing or replacing the item depending on the decision of the Furniture District team. Warranties are based on manufacturing defects for 2 years. For more information see the full warranty.
To improve our shopping experience for our customers, our makers also agree to accept the return of any standard product within 7 days of the reseller receiving the product. Furniture District will then place the item in our quick ship collection and promote it out to our network. This guarantees that our customers and designers are happy with their products and that our makers can still sell their products quickly at full profit.

Commissions and Fees
Makers
Makers benefit from using our platform in several ways including free marketing and advertising, sales tools, advanced marketing tools, access to a huge direct market, and more. We never charge fees to list products on the marketplace and only charge a commission when an item is sold.
Free members are charged a 20% commission fee which is to be accounted for when setting your product's pricing. This fee is used to pay for the marketing and sales tools used on our platform as well as the growth of the company. When a product is sold to our reseller network, its commission is paid directly from Furniture District and does not affect the profit of the maker.
Premium makers membership is $299/month when purchased annually at $3588 or, $350 monthly and can save you thousands a year on sales tools, marketing, accounting, customer service, commission fees, and more.
A standard 3% transaction fee applies to all orders for processing.
Designers
Designers benefit from using our platform in several ways including free marketing, sales tools, access to a huge direct market, access to a network of vetted makers, and more. All design members can set their own prices for design services and keep 100% of their design fees.
Free members receive a 5% trade discount on products intended for resale and a 5% commission on products purchased through their affiliate link. Premium members receive a 10% trade discount on all products.
Premium makers membership is $299/month when purchased annually at $3588 or, $350 monthly and can save you thousands a year on sales tools, marketing, accounting, customer service, commission fees, and more.
Resellers
Resellers benefit from using our platform in several ways including free marketing, sales tools, and access to a huge network of vetted designers and makers.
Free resellers receive 5% commissions on sales without having to hold inventory plus and they can earn 5% even after the customer leaves through your affiliate link. Advanced geo-tagging to remarket lost customers, and more.
Premium members receive a 10% trade discount on all products and access to 1-of-a-kind and ready-to-ship product collections.
Premium makers membership is $299/month when purchased annually at $3588 or, $350 monthly and can save you thousands a year on sales tools, marketing, accounting, customer service, commission fees, and more.

Use of Furniture District Branding
Furniture District is building a brand set on trust which is why we only work with vetted makers and only list approved products. To ensure the solidity of our brand, we require our partners to only display approved logos and branding.
We believe that being a part of this collective means something so we encourage our partners to proudly display their Furniture District membership status in their own stores and marketing campaigns. For copies of the official logo files, please contact support@furnituredistrict.ca

Right to refusal
Furniture District is building a brand set on trust which is why we only work with vetted makers and only list approved products. To ensure the solidity of our brand, we require our partners to only use high-quality materials and list products that meet high-quality standards.
Furniture District is a privately owned enterprise and reserves the right to refuse to list any items that it may find do not fit within the expectations of our buying network.
Furniture District also reserves the right to refuse any member applications that it may consider to not fit within these expectations.
